Set during the events of Powerless, this novella shifts focus to Paedyn's best friend, Adena. Alone in the slums (Loot) after Paedyn is taken for the Trials, Adena must survive and falls in with a mysterious and dangerous Elite named Mak. Their quest to reunite with their loved ones tests their loyalty and explores the darker side of survival in the divided kingdom.
